Active Bystander Training Workshop
Thursday, December 1, 2016
1:30 – 3:30pm
Rm. 1615, Forest Sciences Centre
The purpose of the GSS Active Bystander Program is to empower students with the skills to intervene before an assault takes place. This 2-hour workshop will discuss topics such as consent, the bystander effect and the social elements that allow for sexual violence to exist. We will also teach strategies for intervention, focusing on scenarios that are especially relevant to graduate students.
Participants who complete the training will receive a certificate.
