Make new friends and represent your fellow graduate students on the UBC Graduate Council this year!
The Grad Council oversees the administration of UBC graduate programs and consists of UBC faculty, program staff, Faculty of Graduate & Postdoctoral Studies representatives, as well as GSS representatives (maybe that’s you!).
The GSS representatives engage in many academic topics, including academic policies and graduate-level course curricula. Recent topics include tracking the outcome of UBC Ph.D. graduates, changes to the traditional thesis dissertation format to best prepare graduates for non-academic careers, and policies on graduate student leaves of absence.
