The Graduate Student Society (GSS) at UBC Vancouver is seeking enthusiastic graduate students to help inform other students about the upcoming federal election in Canada and encourage students to vote through our ‘Get Out the Vote’ campaign between now and October 19, 2015.

Job Description

Duties may include, but not limited to, the following:

  • Disseminate information on the ‘Get Out the Vote’ campaign to UBC graduate students on and off campus
  • Educate UBC graduate students on the federal electoral process and platforms of the political parties
  • Assist in organizing a panel discussion: the panel will invite local representatives of the parties running in the Canadian federal election to attend and interact with UBC graduate students
  • Work closely with the Federal Election Campaign Coordinator
  • Other duties as required

Volunteer Hours/Commitment

  • Able to commit to at least one shift per week

Remuneration

  • Certificate of appreciation
  • Volunteer appreciation lunch
  • A free t-shirt
