For New Graduate Students Starting in January 2016

Did you know you are automatically enrolled in the AMS/GSS Health & Dental Plan? A few deadlines to keep in mind:

Change-of-Coverage Period:

January 4-25, 2016

You can enroll your family or opt out if you are already covered by an equivalent health and dental plan (not MSP). Note: you can apply for a change of coverage during this period only.

Eligible students can opt in or opt out of the Plan during the Change of Coverage period between January 4 – 25, 2016.

Opting in

The following students are not automatically enrolled but can opt in during the Change of Coverage period:

  • Incoming exchange students
  • Midwifery students
  • Students over 65

Opting out

If you’re already covered by an equivalent extended health & dental plan (not including MSP), you can opt out during the Change of Coverage period period.

If you are an AMS/GSS member starting your academic year in January and have other extended health anddental benefits (not including MSP), you can opt out of the Plan. You can also enrol your spouse and/or dependents for an additional fee during the Change of Coverage Period.

AMS/GSS Health Plan Premium Assistance Fund:

Application Deadline: Jan. 25, 2016 at 4pm

Do you need a financial assistance? We can help! You can apply for a partial or full reimbursement of the $147.96 Health and Dental Plan fee through the Premium Assistance Fund.
