Phase I of Public Consultation on University Boulevard Precinct Planning About to Begin

UBC is updating plans for the University Boulevard Precinct vision. The University Boulevard Precinct will support the academic experience creating a vibrant academic and social hub; being a complete community with a mixed-use core, and serving as a welcoming “front door” for the university.

This update is needed to respond to changes in the area and to guide new opportunities for how the remaining sites could be development and programmed. As we begin the first phase of planning, we would like to hear from all members of the university community on their needs, interests, and ideas for how to complete the precinct vision.

Phase 1 of the public consultation will from run from February 10 to 23 with both on-campus and online opportunities. Events details:

Public Open House

Location: 2nd floor foyer, The Irving K. Barber Learning Centre, 1961 East Mall

Public Workshop (sign up required: email eva.thomson@ubc.ca to sign up)
Date: February 12, 2015
Time: 3:30 pm  – 6:30 pm
Location: 2nd floor foyer, Hillel House, 6145 Student Union Boulevard

If you cannot attend an on-campus event, you can review materials online starting February 10 and fill out a feedback form until February 23. Please visit planning.ubc.ca
