Meet other graduate students and give back to the graduate student community! Your GSS is looking for volunteers to join the GSS/AMS Referendum Ad Hoc Committee.

The committee will hold a needs assessment on the AMS services that graduate students currently use, draft proposals for how to proceed as a Society, and prepare for a related 2018 referendum. This will require research, consultation with the GSS membership, and careful consideration of many factors.

This volunteer opportunity is open to all current UBC graduate students, preferably with some familiarity with the AMS and GSS, as well as AMS and GSS services. Ideally, the volunteers come with experience or interest in consultations and project management.

Committee members are expected to attend regularly committee meetings, approximately 2 per month. The GSS/AMS Referendum Ad Hoc Committee will run from the end of July 2017 to March 2018.

How to Apply

Application deadline: July 18, 2017, 9am

Please attend the next GSS Council meeting (July 20, 5:30pm, Michael Kingsmill Form at the Nest) or send a short statement of interest to president@gss.ubc.ca.
