The GSS has a range of services to support you as a UBC graduate student. We can offer individual assistance if you’re finding life a struggle or help your student society run events. We even offer a health and dental plan that is tailored for students.
GSS Advocates are graduate students who provide confidential assistance to individual fellow graduate students experiencing difficulties, academic or otherwise. We provide you with relevant information on, and facilitate access to, university resources. Our Advocates work with you to ensure that your concerns are addressed fairly and timely.
The Sexual Assault Prevention and Intervention (SAPI) training brings together graduate students across UBC to learn about how to intervene in situations as a pro social bystander before, during, and after an incident.
The AMS/GSS Health & Dental Plan is extended health and dental coverage, designed specifically for students to cover expenses not covered by basic health care plans such as prescription drugs, dental care, travel health coverage, health practitioners, vision care, and more.
Affiliated Organizations (AOs) are a vital part of the GSS. We work closely with on- and off-campus graduate student associations and university groups throughout the year to foster and strengthen a close-knitted graduate student community.
