Interested in learning Mandarin Chinese, the most spoken language in the world with 918 million native speakers, but not sure where to start?

Join us for this 6-week beginner conversational class and learn together in a small group setting with other like-minded participants. Our passionate and experienced instructor Lily Gu, is a native Mandarin speaker originally from Beijing, China.

Class outlines:

• Learn to start a simple conversation: greetings and self-introduction
• Learn Pinyin so you can pronounce words properly
• Learn numbers so you can count and manage time
• Appreciate Chinese culture: festivals and traditions
• Practice speaking Mandarin Chinese with native speaker(s)
• Meet non-native Chinese speakers who have mastered the languages for inspiration
• Support from your peers who could be your accountability partner
• Receive additional resources so you can learn more on your own

Why take a real-time class when there are countless online resources that could get you started? Let’s face it – learning a new language is not easy, and it takes determination, time and practice. Learning in a class setting will give you the structure to get started, offer the opportunity to work with tailored materials for your needs, help address your questions in real time, keep you motivated and hold you accountable for your learning journey.

• This is a non-credit, extra-curricular class
