GSS and Student Care: Resources for Grad Students during COVID-19

Our session will include information about the mental health supports available through the Empower Me program and discuss how your student Plan can support you during this time. We will be joined by:
Dr. Elizabeth Cawley Dr. Elizabeth Cawley joined the Studentcare team as Director, National of Mental Health Strategy. Dr. Cawley hold her PhD in Psychiatry from McGill University and specializes in post-secondary student mental health. She is one of the expert members on the Technical Committee developing Canada’s National Standard for the Mental Health and Well-Being of Post-Secondary Students. As an active member of this committee Dr. Cawley is helping to write the book on campus mental health. Over the years she has consulted at a number of top Canadian universities, assisting them with the development and implementation of their mental health strategies. She was also a board member at Kids Help Phone, working to successfully bring Crisis Text Line to Canada. In addition, Dr. Cawley has been involved with a number of private and non-for-profit organizations focused on developing innovative solutions for mental health service delivery on post-secondary campuses across the country.
Cameron has a strong service background, is fully bilingual in English and French, and brings experience working at almost every level of Studentcare’s service team from the ground up. Cameron is in charge of managing our Care Offices across the country and for the last five years has worked on complex student cases at the University of British Columbia. If you ever have a difficult question, Cameron has the answer.
Bahareh works as a Program Manager for Studentcare, specifically working with the AMS/GSS Health and Dental Plan committee in administrating the AMS/GSS Extended Health and Dental Plan.
