Staying Psychologically Strong during COVID-19: Strategies for Well-Being
April 30, 2020 @ 10:30 am - 11:30 am PDTFree
The COVID-19 pandemic has brought about a collective, global anxiety never before seen. Though everyone’s individual situation is unique, no one has been unaffected. Uncertainty over what the future looks like, financial stress, and the effects of social distancing and isolation can be truly unsettling.
Alex Abdel-Malek is a senior psychotherapist specializing in trauma and critical incident stress. He will bring his experience to share some empowering ways to cope in the realm of the unsettling and unknown. This workshop will provide you with some practical, effective tools for managing your emotions during these challenging times. In addition, Alex will talk about the ways in which times that overwhelm us can be used to dig deep and bring forward parts of the self—an invitation to not only adapt but grow through the process.
