Thunderbird Park & Sports Centre is home of the UBC Thunderbirds varsity sports teams. The Sports Centre offers 2 arenas for hockey, ice skating and large events, while located next to it is the UBC Rugby Centre. Just eastwards, Thunderbird Park offers multiple artificial turf and grass fields for soccer, rugby, field hockey and more; a track and field oval and new baseball stadium.

UBC Aquatic Centre
The UBC Aquatic Centre is state-of-the-art, equipped with a 50 metre competition pool, 25 metre recreational pool, lazy river, hot tub, steam room and sauna. A great place to get a workout or hang out at the weekend or after class. The Aquatic centre also offers ramps and lifts for accessibility, and men’s, women’s, and universal change rooms.
ARC Fitness Centre

Student Health Services & UBC Hospital
Student Health Services offers a wide range of health assessments and treatments provided by doctors, nurses, and specialists located at UBC Hospital. See them for everything from sexual health & birth control, to sports medicine, mental health/ illness, and immunizations.
The UBC Hospital’s Urgent Care Centre provides treatment for common illnesses and injuries, and offers diagnostic services and testing including x-rays, urinalysis and blood tests. No appointment necessary!
UBC Wellness Centre – UBC Life Building
At the Wellness Centre, talk with a trained student for tips and resources on dealing with stress, studying, or navigating university life. Besides providing great health and wellness information, the Wellness Centre also offers wellness related events and workshops, safer sex products for sale at cost, and connects students with nurses-on-campus.
UBC Health Clinic
The UBC Health Clinic provides interdisciplinary, full-service family practice care as a teaching unit, and offers appointments that last 20-40 minutes. The clinic has an onsite pharmacist, pediatrician, and psychiatrist, and 24-hour on-call doctor for registered patients.
UBC Counselling Services
Get support from Masters-level counselors at UBC Counselling Services for everything from sadness, stress and overwhelm to loss, grief, relationship troubles and/or past experiences of violence. Advisers meet students for a one-time 15-20 minute assessment, listen to your needs and connect you with resources to best help you reach your goals. This could include self-directed resources, workshops and coaching, group therapy, or individual therapy.
