The UBC Farm is the centre of sustainable agriculture on campus. Get farm-fresh organic veggies with a 20% student discount at their regular farmer’s markets, do workshops on everything from cheese making to kombucha brewing, join in evenings preparing a sharing a meal at the community kitchen, or just come to explore. The UBC Farm grows over 200 varieties of fruits, vegetables, and herbs, and also features honey beehives and egg-laying, open-pasture hens.
UBC Farm is also home of The Centre for Sustainable Food Systems, a research centre committed to finding solutions to local and global challenges facing food systems sustainability that offers dialog series on the future of food, sustainable agriculture and business.
