BC Housing Education Awards Programs

The BC Housing Education Awards program is for residents who directly benefit from subsidies from BC Housing or are currently receiving rental assistance through the BC Rental Assistance Program (RAP). The program is designed to help students in post-secondary education and training programs pursue their educational goals as a way to achieve success and personal growth. There are multiple education awards and bursaries. Students are encouraged to apply for as many awards as they are eligible for.

 

Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarships

The Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarships (Vanier CGS) program helps Canadian institutions attract highly qualified doctoral students. The scholarship is valued at $50,000 per year for three years during their doctoral studies.





Tri-Council Awards - Canada Graduate Scholarships Doctoral Program

Tri-Council Awards – Canada Graduate Scholarships Doctoral program is designed to promote continued excellence in Canadian research by rewarding and retaining high-calibre doctoral students at Canadian institutions. The scholarships are administered by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC), the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC). Scholarships are awarded through national competitions by these three granting agencies.

 

British Columbia Graduate Scholarship

Scholarships of $15,000 are available to fund students in any field of study, with emphasis on research in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics fields.





 

 

All Students

Dick Martin Scholarship Award

$3000 national scholarship is available to any student enrolled, either part-time or full-time, in an occupational health and safety-related course or program leading to an occupational health and safety certificate, diploma or degree at an accredited college or university in Canada.

 

International Development Research Centre grants and awards

IDRC provides grants, funding, and awards to researchers and institutions to find solutions for global development challenges.





Affiliated Fellowships Master's Program

The 4YF provides UBC’s best PhD, DMA, and MD PhD students with financial support of at least $18,200 per year plus tuition for up to four years of their doctoral studies.

 

Spring Graduate Awards Competition

A number of university awards are made available each academic year for current and incoming graduate students.

 

 

Graduate Support Initiative Awards

Funding is available for graduate students through entrance scholarships, multi-year funding packages, tuition awards, and scholarship top-ups.

 

Affiliated Fellowships Master's Program

Awards are given to meritorious students for full-time study and/or research leading to a graduate degree. Fellowship values can range up to $16,000.

Affiliated Fellowships Doctoral Program

Awards are given to meritorious students for full-time study and/or research leading to a graduate degree. Fellowship values can range up to $16,000.
