You Said, We Did - Partnership in Action

Your voice is shaping our advocacy agenda

The GSS collects feedback from graduate students through the annual Student Satisfaction Survey, events, focus groups, and committee research. In this series, we share short updates on how that feedback is turned into action, with links to our presentations and detailed recommendations for anyone who wants to learn more.

Funding & Affordability

Highlights from the GSS Advocacy Efforts

Message from

Hayley Lawrence, President, GSS

YOU SAID: Funding and affordability are priorities for graduate students. You told us UBC needs to increase funding and ensure it keeps pace with the rising cost of living, including inflation, tuition, and rent.

WE DID: We took these priorities directly to UBC leadership. We presented the concerns and recommendations identified by graduate students at the VP Students’ Office and at the UBC Board of Governors.

Your voice is shaping our advocacy agenda.

You said it. We’re taking action.
