On December 5, 2019, the University of British Columbia (UBC) formally declared a state of climate emergency and proposed two key divestment initiatives to continue their transition to a sustainable organization. The Graduate Student Society (GSS) at UBC supports these actions. We applaud the grass-...GSS President Nicolas Romualdi and AMS President Chris Hakim, spoke to the Ubyssey about the challenges of student consultation on campus. Capturing the views of 10,000 graduate students is an almost impossible task, but one of the reasons we conduct projects like the GSS funding survey and focus groups is to make sure we're representing your concerns as accurately and faithfully as we can.
